Fuji Sushi and Grill in McKees Rocks

Came into town for work from out of state and have never had anything like some of the rolls we ordered, the punk rock and the oh my god rolls were just fantastic!

The owner was really aggressive when I told him that I did not like one of the sushi meal he prepared (i.e. Ohh Roll). The reason because he blow torch the sushi making it charred and having a nasty aftertaste. I explained if he would not do that and to just serve the sushi other ways without the torch he still did as he wanted. Leaving me in disgust with the sushi and the owner still enforcing me to pay for something I did not eat. The owner stated “in this restaurant if nothing is wrong with the food then it does not matter how I feel about the food”. And that is utterly disrespectful because he wasn’t even willing to remake the food or ask me if I had wanted another dish at the same price. When I attempted to take a picture of the plate it was grabbed and taken to the back of the store. He just handed me the bill stating I should go. No good customer service at ALL.P.S. I LOVE SUSHI but this place will never get my service again.

I've been going to this restaurant for over half of my life, literally. In college now, and it's the first place I come for lunch to spend too much money (for my college student budget, it's really not bad price for sushi) but it's always worth it.

This is our favorite little sushi joint. Best egg rolls ever. Appetizers and sushi are so fresh. And it's BYOB which is awesome. The owner will most likely be the one serving you. Once you strike up a conversation, he's very funny and friendly.

Didn't expect much, small place in a strip mall easy to miss but I went there last night food was so good I came back this evening (sushi is normally a once every few weeks at most kinda thing for me) everything I tried was amazing, the menu has your standard items but also a number of uniquely inventive twists that are simply delicious. Definitely recommend!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! This is my favorite sushi place I've ever been to. Every time I go I try at least one new roll and every time it's amazing. Also, very cute place for a date night. It's quiet and BYOB so bring a bottle of wine and enjoy 👌🏼

Food was awesome. Second time we went there. So why a 2 starWe have a one and a half year old who is finding her voice and talking more. He said it is a good thing we were by ourselves or he would ask us to leave for other customers sake. Wow don't go there with children. Owner I suggest you get rid of the high chairs if you don't want kids in there.

The sushi was incredible and I loved it, but the owner was also the chef and the server so service was a bit slow. But I will definitely be going back.

Friday, 06/05/20 - Just spent $50 at Fuji Sushi on 4 rolls plus a tip. Had to throw most of it away. Was covered in so much mayonnaise and sauce it was inedible. Never again.

Chef is very friendly and you can tell he's passionate about his work. Restaurant is clean and we'll kept. The sushi is very delicious and I'll be returning soon!

Good small restaurant. I had been searching for a good using noodle place. I found it here. It is small and quiet. I didn't try the sushi so I couldn't tell you if it is good or not. But the fried rice and using noodle was great and I would recommend this place.

I went for sushi and the sushi was good. The waiter who may also be the owner made my food. I found him to be a little rude with the customers but all said it was a decent spot. A little expensive but not out of line.

Tried several basic rolls and their "O" roll, definitely quality food served here. Small place and one worker so can get somewhat busy at lunch, but recommend 100%!

A real hidden gem of a restaurant. There is mostly just the one guy that runs everything so it takes a little longer for food but every roll is hand crafted with more care than I have had at other places. Try the special rolls on the whiteboard too.

If you love lots of mushy rice, you're in luck.

ALL YOU CAN EAT! Great value under $20pp and even less for kids. The jalepeno appetizer was yummy. Also loved the Pittsburgh roll with eel.

The sushi that is made in this establishment may be the best sushi I’ve ever had. The owner (who usually waits tables) is very friendly and prepares your food to perfection in a timely manner. I’ve been here plenty of times and I’ve never had a bad experience.

I wanted to like this place, as it's on my way home from work. I was the only guest in the restaurant. The sushi we ordered didn't have the best pricing, but if it was good, I would have been happy. However, the sushi was very sour tasting. Not just one roll either. Everything on my plate had a not-quite-right taste.

Great place, food, atmosphere. The owner made our sushi and I found it refreshing to have an owner be involved with the day to day production of his business.

Very good food... had a lunch here. Everything we had their was very good. Egg rolls were awesome so were the sushi rolls. Ambience is pedestrian but clean. I would definitely be a repeat customer. I can see ordering take outs from here.

Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. We travel about 45 minutes to get to it despite having several sushi options closer by. The owner who is also the sushi chef makes the experience the best he has a great personality and we end up having long conversations and usually we are there for 2 hours or so. I have told many people about this hidden gem and would recommend it to everyone.

Tommy, the owner and chef, is awesome. He has a lot of skill in preparing some of the best rolls I've ever had. It's not the fastest service I've ever had but the experience is worth the wait. I'd recommend trying the oh my God roll!
